I'm Shannon, the founder and creative director behind Westmoreland & Co.
Long before I began planning weddings, I spent more than a decade producing large scale events throughout Atlanta, bringing together music, art, food, and community through experiences designed with equal parts creativity and precision. It was there that I developed an appreciation for the balance between design and meticulous execution, understanding that the most memorable celebrations are those that feel entirely effortless.
When life brought me to Charleston, weddings found me in return.
What began as a new chapter quickly became a calling. I fell in love with the privilege of learning each couple's story and translating it into a celebration that feels unmistakably their own. Every decision is made with intention, every detail considered for how it contributes not only to the design, but to the feeling that lingers long after the day has passed.
My passion for my work has also been shaped by a background in Forbes Five Star hospitality, where excellence is measured not only by what is seen, but by what is quietly anticipated. The finest experiences are never accidental. They are the result of thoughtful preparation, genuine care, and an unwavering commitment to the people at the heart of the celebration.
That philosophy feels deeply personal to me.
As the oldest of seven siblings, I learned from an early age that caring for others is both an instinct and a responsibility. It taught me to lead with steadiness, to find calm in complexity, and to understand that the smallest gestures are often the ones remembered most. Those lessons continue to shape the way I serve every couple who places their trust in me.
I believe a wedding should feel as beautiful as it looks. It should unfold with grace, welcome guests with warmth, and allow you the rare gift of being completely present. My role is to quietly orchestrate everything behind the scenes, so all that remains for you is the joy of celebrating the beginning of your marriage.
